We are happy to announce that the Official Launch of the European Alliance for Microcredentials took place in hybrid mode (in Dubrovnik and online) on October 25^th 2023.

The main aim of the event was to introduce the Alliance to wide public of people and institutions interested in the field of VET, education and microcredentials and to show them how they can enroll in in the Alliance. The event was a part of the European Vocational Skills Week 2023.

The event was attended by 64 participants (partners, NGOs, VET providers, teachers, educators, policy-makers, people interested in the field of micro-credentials, etc.) from the partner countries Netherlands, Bulgaria, Greece, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Luxemburg and many more. The event was in a hybrid mode and was hosted by the EUROPEAN SCHOOL HEADS ASSOCIATION (ESHA) – Netherlands with the help of the partners:

• AKMI ANONIMI EKPAIDEFTIKI ETAIRIA – Greece;

What is the European Alliance for Microcredentials About?

Micro-credentials certify the learning outcomes of short-term learning experiences, for example a short course or training. They offer a flexible, targeted way to help people develop the knowledge, skills and competences they need for their personal and professional development.

The Alliance is established with the mission of promoting the offer, uptake, and recognition of micro-credentials across the European Union (EU) and beyond, in the public, for profit and non-profit sectors, with special focus on formal education and the labour market.
