Given that the idea of micro-credentials is still being developed within the EU, it is clear that VET providers and training providers in general must be prepared effectively and actively involved. Although most training organizations stay current on industry developments, their ability to successfully design and deliver courses that can be linked to micro credentials remains at rudimentary levels. This was discovered during the project’s planning stages and after a thorough review of the current circumstances of relevant actors and stakeholders at a European level, with an emphasis on partner countries.

In this context, as part of the project’s 1^st Result, transnational focus groups were organized. These transnational focus groups were implemented based on a predefined agenda that focusing mainly on the verification of the needs analysis’ results. Attendees has participated in a discussion regarding current needs on digital content development, gaps in the provision of specialized courses, as well as their overall understanding of micro-credentials. One VET/training provider per partner country -Two VET learners/trainees per partner country -Two business actors from each hosting country has participated the transnational focus groups. focus groups on the needs of the target group are very important to determine the methodology of the micro-credential courses to be developed under the project. During the focus group participants were informed about the project. On the other hand, questions were asked about the limitations and needs. After the analyzed focus groups, national reports were prepared by the hosting countries.
