As far as the Greek context is concerned, the microVET field research activities in Greece have revealed that the micro credentials are not so well-known in Greece and particularly micro-credentials are mostly aligned with the short programs of universities’ lifelong learning centers, which provide credits to the learners. The pandemic outbreak has urged the creation and development of more training programs providing students with new skills and competences, while also providing them credits and recognition.

However, VET sector is not fully aligned with micro-credentials and experience more difficulties in integrating mini course into their core training programs either for internal or external use, meaning VET students attending VET programs or students registered only for the online mini trainings provided by a VET Institute or provider.

The good news coming from the participants of the field research reporting that there is willingness of more and more educational providers and institutions to act towards the inclusion of micro-credentials in the VET sector and lifelong learning in general. The microVET outcomes and results seem to be more relevant and necessary for the educational providers on this digital era.
