Nowadays, micro-credentials gained EU-wide attention in policy debates, among others due to the need of workers and learners to provide evidences about their skills in the labour market. Here, are mentioned some of the most important facts or/and events, took place in 2022 with regards to micro-credentials.

On 16 June 2022, a Council Recommendation was adopted concerning a European approach to micro-credentials. This Recommendation includes common definitions, EU standards and principles. To see more about this Recommendation, please click here: Council Recommendation .

An important Peer Learning Activity with over 60 representatives from the EQAVET Network and neighbouring countries, took place on 8 – 9 November 2022. The title of their agenda was “EQAVET Network Peer Learning Activity focused on quality assurance of micro-credentials” and major findings on micro-credentials for VET and the labour market, were presented. MicroVet Project  will hopefully add by its end period, a new milestone with regards to the introduction of micro-credentials to the digital era of VET.
